Oshane Bailey

Oshane Bailey is the CEO and Co-Founder of Osoobe Ltd and Event Organiser for Jamaican Developers Group and Docker Community in Jamaica. Oshane is an active contributor to the tech community in Jamaica, where he hosts events, training and workshops to upskill digital professionals. He's passionate about innovation, automation and growing the tech ecosystem in Jamaica by connecting people, technologies and opportunities.

Oshane is an experienced developer with a demonstrated history of working in the computer software industry. He's skilled in Python, JavaScript, PHP and many other technologies, which would be tedious to name. As a software developer, he participated in Google Summer of Code 2017 for the Plone Foundation to make life easier for designers and theme editors. He mentored students who participated in Google Summer of Code the following year. He has a strong entrepreneurship professional background, and a Bachelor of Science BSc in Computer Science from the University of the West Indies, Mona Campus.

In 2020, he and Nicholas Kee started Osoobe, a venture studio that designs and develops strategies and solutions to problems through AI, automation, and digital transformation. Through Osoobe, Oshane aims to create an environment that will facilitate creative thinkers, thought leaders, and innovators, encouraging idea creation, collaboration, and innovation to solve problems we face in our economies across the globe.
